TUESDAY
After an easy walk, we will visit the interior of Fort Zaccarana (an Austrian fort dating back to World War I) together, discovering the tunnels and meanders of the old post; we will then continue to the Strino barracks (downhill), finally reaching Fort Strino (now a museum) with a guided tour. From here we will return to the hotel by regular bus.
THURSDAY
Slightly more challenging hike to reach the 3,000 meters of the Presena glacier.
The day is divided into two moments:
– morning, suitable for families with children, with a visit to the “Galleria Paradiso” dedicated to the “White War” (World War I), the remains of the Austrian trenches of the Paradiso Pass and then easy walk to the Presena lakes and towards the glacier. By gondola to reach the top of the Presena glacier and the viewpoint located at 3,000 mslm.
– after lunch, descent along the “Sentiero della Pace” to return to the hotel passing by the “Alveo Presena” following a path of great scenic and naturalistic value, skirting other artifacts of the First World War.
