• Trento (75 km): small city with a quite and charmy large pedestrian area, surrounding the old heart of the city where you can find some interesting monument: Buonconsiglio Castle, the Dome and its square, the Diocesan Museum of Sacred Art ... shopping around in Trento is a nice experience.
  • Bolzano (110 km): administrative center of Alto Adige region, called South Tirol from the nostalgic of the austrian Asburgo empire. Bolzano architecture witness about the austrian domination, it really seems a corner of Austria in Italy. Take a pleasent walk along the porticos of the old center pedestrian area, where you can find a lot of shops and boutiques, the old market, patisseries and coffee bars. To be seen the gotic Dome (XIV century), the elegant Walther square, Erbe square, the Archeological Museum where you will find "Otzi", the Similaun "mummy" (aged 5.300 years ago) found in 1991 on the mountains between Italy and Austria. Some nice walk starts just nearby Bolzano: the Renon Plateau cableway with its easy paths and tracks you can find over the plateau, the walk of Maddalene's hills (famous for its vineyards).
  • Merano (130 km): classical thermal bath town located in South Tirol, appreciated over the centuries for its tender climate; it has a nice pedestrian area, interesting gardens, the botanical walk of the Empress "Sissy", a very nice walk along the river Passirio, the thermal bath and swimming pool with its summer gardens, the fantastic gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle, reachable on foot by the center of the town.
  • Verona (180 km): this city is reach in history and suggestions: the Arena, "Giuletta" house, the San Zeno Basilic, Erbe square. It's very nice to walk around the old pedestrian center and get lost in its narrow streets.
  • Brescia (130 km): industrial city with an unexpected cultural heart: the Dome and its square, Loggia square, the St Giulia Museum - often it hosts internazional exhibitions – the roman excavations with the ancient "foro romano", the castle up on the hill dominating the whole city.
  • Bergamo (125 km): the old city is called "città alta", since it is set on the highest hill of the area. It has a medieval origin and it is considerated a small jewell, reachable by a cableway. There are a lot of monument to be visited organized into two different tracks. It's also really nice to get lost inside the old center.
